33+ years of experience in childcare and education.
Founded in 1990, World of Children has given a space to young children in Ealing for over three decades. Our private day nursery is a home away from home, where creativity and play are encouraged in a safe environment.
Fully flexible hours to suit every family
We are open from 07:30 to 18:00 every weekday and we pride ourselves in being able to offer flexible drop off and pick up times. We currently have spaces for 2 to 5 year olds. With free government funded hours, flat rate sessions, after school pick-up programs and ‘actual hours’ payment options, World of Children has a plan for every family.
Our Approach
-
Child-Centred Learning
Each child is an individual. Young children not only have rights and needs, but unique desires, abilities, personalities and potential. They have an innate desire to learn by observing, exploring and just doing things themselves! For this reason World of Children takes a play-based approach, supporting children in whatever adventure they choose.
-
Relationships are Vital
While children are individuals, it takes a village to raise them! Strong, positive bonds with adults are crucial for children to feel safe, confident and happy whilst they explore and grow. At World of Children, our staff are highly qualified, enthusiastic, warm and kind. Most of us are mothers ourselves, after all! We also put a big emphasis on working together with parents and on children’s friendships with their peers.
-
Enabling Environment
After themselves and others, the environment is the third teacher for a child. We put a lot of energy and resources into creating an atmosphere that inspires children who spend time in our space. We have plenty of natural light, play areas and resting areas, as well as rotating toys, art supplies and books. We have a massive garden with trees, planters, hills, huts and climbing walls. We even have guinea pigs and a leopard gecko!
